Our Story

Keystone Pediatric Therapy was started in September 2008 to meet the needs of families who wanted assistance in their home carrying over speech and language goals. Through meeting different parents, Heather found that they had a desire to implement strategies at home, but found themselves at a loss for what to do. Starting with one private client, our services have expanded to include public schools, childcare centers, virtual charter schools and in home therapy. We provide evaluations, one on one therapy sessions, group therapy sessions, consultations with other therapists to provide a fresh perspective and community seminars. We evaluate and treat a wide range of communication disorders. We specialize in childhood apraxia of speech (CAS) and alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) which includes the use of iPads. Heather N Hamilton

MS CCC-SLP is the founder of Keystone Pediatric Therapy. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences from The Pennsylvania State University in 2001. Two years later she earned her Masters of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Wisconsin. Through her studies, she found her passion was to help those who had the most difficulty communicating, those that were non-verbal. Some look at those without a way to communicate and question their potential, but Heather always looks for the avenue to let their voices be heard. She enjoys problem solving ways to help them express themselves through any available means. She has an extensive background in AAC to provide different methods of communication to her clients. Another area of interest and expertise is Childhood Apraxia of Speech. She is a graduate of CASANA's Intensive Training Institute For SLPs. Some of the biggest rewards come from those clients that seem to have the most roadblocks in their way. Heather is not only a therapist to her clients, but is often their biggest cheerleader or advocate. In a world where many obstacles need to be surmounted we all need someone on our side fighting for our future.
